Dear true Christians, we must reject the Pope

The Roman Catholic Church is the most sinful so-called Christian establishment on the face of this planet.  The Catholics collected indulgences, undertook the crusades, started the Inquisition, and performed numerous other sinful and hateful acts. Rather than save the sinner, the Catholic would prefer to torture him. And what’s even worse is the Catholic clergy structure.

Did you know that the Catholic Church teaches that God won’t forgive your sins unless you talk to a priest and tell him everything bad you did? This is totally wrong! We need only to answer to God! Clergy should be our guides, not forgive our sins! That is God’s job, and God’s job alone. If we are born again in Christ and repent from our sins, then God will forgive us. If we go to a priest and just tell him we sinned and hope for an easy out, that’s not going to get us forgiveness. I mean, come on! Who would trust a sect that believes they eat Jesus’ body and blood every Sunday and worship saints and idols instead of Jesus anyway?

These people even worship the pope! In the midst of all these allegations of child molestation by the Catholic Church, the Pope is, so Catholics believe, still INFALLIBLE. I.E. Whatever he says is true! This is a lie! The Pope is not Jesus! The Pope is not God! This Pope worship is idolatry. Although we do not agree with the sinful nature of the work of Tim Minchin, I have to agree with his sentiments in the following song, in which he attacks the pope for covering up the abuse scandal in the Church.

The song has been treated to censor all obscenity within.

Enjoy.

Yours in Christ,

Jim

  1. Martin Baker says:

I’m thankful to God’s glory that the Reverend Martin Luther stood up against these false allegations and told the others that the Catholic Church was corrupt and trying to steal True Christianity. The Catholic Church was misleading the followers, and they knew they were wrong for doing this.

WTF is this Morse code? All i heard was “you mother #$%#” in the beginning! I WANT TO HEAR THE SONG!
And as for the Catholic Church you mention some of the stuff but you ignore the persecution of scientists for hundreds of years.
And wait, The Catholics killed Jesus is that what you meant? The Romans killed him, and they were all still worshiping Pagan gods at the time. Catholicism and in fact every division of Christianity did not come about until around 300 years after Jesus had been dead.
And they are bad for some things the priests are notorious and circumcision, ugh I’m just glad Germany made it illegal without consent (I.E. No more infant circumcision) America needs to do that next.

And here is what i see
One religion bashing another religion for being religious.
One idiot bashing another idiot for being an idiot.

  3. TheWhiteBee says:

Finally, one I almost agree with! Yes, the Catholic Church has committed atrocities, and it is ridiculous to consider any human infallible. I disagree about all the rest, but it’s nice to know that there’s some common ground.

  4. TheWhiteBee says:

Hey, given that this is your stance on the Pope, what do you think about his resignation?

  5. Larry says:

“The Roman Catholic Church is the most sinful so-called Christian establishment on the face of this planet” – actually the Catholic Church is the only one which we can link directly to Jesus Christ himself through apostolic succession and historical witnesses

“collected indulgences” – I don’t see anything wrong with that

“undertook the crusades” – crusades were legitimate responses to the Arabic aggression to Europe and to the oppression of Christians living in Holy Land.

“started the Inquisition” – Inquisition never had the power to condemn to death, only to assess heresy on a secular tribunal (heresy was regarded as treason to the emperor or the king). It offered many more guarantees than a secular tribunal and the majority of the times ended with absolution or with a religious penitence (like pilgrimage to the Holy Land) and it helped saving many lives from certain death (see: Michael Hesemann’s “The Black Legends”). Torture was regulated, rarely applied and far more human than secular one.
if you mean the more famous Spanish Inquisition forget about it: it was secular, founded by Spanish kings and had nothing to do with the Church and actually they were in contrast.

“and performed numerous other sinful and hateful acts” everyone is a sinner

“the Catholic Church teaches that God won’t forgive your sins unless you talk to a priest and tell him everything bad you did?” just check John 20, 22-23 ” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” ”

“Who would trust a sect that believes they eat Jesus’ body and blood every Sunday” sincerely I don’t believe a sect which rejects science and believes the earth was made 6000 years ago.
and, sincerely, read Luke 22:19 “And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”” he said this IS my body. checkmate friend
oh, I forgot, Catholic can attend mass EVERY day, not only Sunday.

“worship saints and idols instead of Jesus” Catholics do not worship Saints and “idols”, or at least no more than you do with Rick Santorum
    just check “Dulia” and “Iperdulia”

“These people even worship the pope!” they don’t worship the Pope, they honor him as successor of Saint Peter which makes him Vicar of Christ in Earth

“the Pope is, so Catholics believe, still INFALLIBLE. I.E. Whatever he says is true!” only about Faith and Morality because he’s inspired by the Holy Spirit, the last Pope who appealed to infallibility was Pius XII on 1954. Outside Faith and Morality a Pope can be wrong
note that Infallibility doesn’t mean that a Pope can’t sin

“The Pope is not Jesus! The Pope is not God!” never heard a Catholic stating the opposite

“Pope worship is idolatry” of course, that’s why many popes like John Paul I or even the actual one Francis warned against it

Finally, there are more sexual abuses at home and at school than in a Catholic Church and the greatest abuse cover-up is the one done by the UN about child rapes commited by peacekeepers in Africa

    have a nice day

  6. I heard, “you motherfucker, you motherfucker, you motherfucker!” This guy doesn’t know how to write music. Swearing on occasion is fine but this often?!?
